Traffic Impacts from City of Fruita Projects
Parking Lot Closed Downtown - Near Aspen Avenue and Peach Street
A downtown bathroom is being installed on the corner of Peach Street and Aspen Avenue. On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the parking lot on the corner of Aspen Avenue and Peach Street will be closed. After the building is placed, the contractor will pour concrete around, which will result in a temporary sidewalk closure on Aspen Avenue.
Starting Fall 2024 - Upcoming 19 Road Construction Project (Continued)
The City of Fruita is planning utility and roadway improvements along 19 Rd. from Highway 6&50 north to J.2 Rd. The improvements are expected to begin after the irrigation season in early November and last until summer 2025. Learn more about this project on the 19 Road project page.
Traffic Impacts from Non-City Projects
Upcoming Closure - Pine Street and Wildwood Drive | May 20 - 31, 2024
Starting May 20, 2024, the intersection at Pine Street and Wildwood Drive will be closed for utility improvements for the Gear Estates development. The recommended detour is taking L Road and K 4/10 Road to 18 1/2 Road. This closure is expected to last one week until May 31, 2024.
