Thank you so much Mike the Headless Chicken...you inspired me to live...I thought I was too depressed to go on living, but I realize that if you were able to live for that long without a head, imagine how well I'll live with a head! I will never attempt suicide again. Mike's spirit is something to celebrate. It sounds like you have some celebrating to do too!

I want to thank Mike for his inspiration, I can have a really cool life even whitout a head!!! so nice to know hope still lives on, for all the headless ones, from all the things I've lost my mind I miss the most, I bet Mike gets it!

Saw you in the Guinness book of world records 2002. You're my hero. I wish I could survive without my head for 18 months! just goes to show you how little difference a head on a chicken really is! I mean, you'd have to be really, really dumb not to need your head for 18 months. Hugs and kisses!

Hey dudes! I'm from the Netherlands, and yesterday I read the story about Mike, I showed it to my mum (I read about mMike before, and I said that to her, but she don't believed it) she read it and said: ''No, that can't be hapening!'' :D Cool site! But one question, how did he get breath then? because he don't has a mouth any more... Mike was able to breath and receive nourishment through the neck opening.

I teach freshman English and use the story of Mike every year. First of all, the students do not believe me when we first start. Then we read the story, and they love it. It is great fun to share this story with my students. Where do you teach?

What a great pet, what a remarkable relationship the Olsens and him had. His life was short but at least he was treated like the miricle he was. I definately have a new respect for these animals lately.
